About Dr. Kelley Reis

Dr. Kelley Reis is an Oregon Board-certified Functional Naturopathic Physician.  She graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM – the oldest accredited naturopathic medical university in North America and a leader in natural medicine education and training) in Portland, Oregon in 2004 after completing a five year medical degree program and successfully completing Oregon Board exams.  She founded The Natural Medicine Center in Hillsboro Oregon in 2005 where she practiced as a primary care provider specializing in Natural Medicine for 13 years until moving to Raleigh to open her second clinic.  Dr. Kelley has extensive training in Functional and Diagnostic Medicine and utilizes effective, natural treatment options in treating all disorders while always emphasizing prevention of disease through dietary interventions.

Her philosophy is strongly based in the principles of naturopathy.

♦ Prevent disease

♦ Identify and remove the cause of disease

♦ Treat the whole person, not only symptoms

♦ Trust the healing power of nature

♦ Educate patients on health and wellness

“I believe that all physical disease has an emotional, mental and spiritual component therefore healing must take place on all of these levels. This involves a strong commitment on the part of my patient because all healing occurs from within.  Utilizing a comprehensive approach based in functional medicine, full diagnostic testing, nutritional planning and common sense, I partner with my patients to educate and support them on how they can truly improve their health and their life on all levels.”

When our genes and our environment interact with poor lifestyle habits, chronic disease often results.  Our current health care system is poorly equipped to deal with this global epidemic.  A functional/integrative approach can address these complex issues and restore wellness in a way that drugs and surgery often cannot.
